Crescent Mills is the first community encountered when approaching Indian Valley from the Feather River Canyon. Crescent Mills is named for the sickle shaped flat upon which it is located and the 30-stamp crushing mill which started operation in the early 1860’s. Crescent Mills boasts of gorgeous views of Mount Hough from the town itself and the 9-hole golf course just south of the town.
