Greenville Custom Car and Hot Rod Get-Together – Friday, July 15th, 2011 - Greenville, Ca in the Evergreen Market Parking Lot

To kick off another fun, event filled weekend in Indian Valley, the Custom Car and Hot Rod Show begins at 5pm in the Evergreen Parking Lot. Free admission, raffles, prizes, and 50/50 drawings. Tri-tip sandwiches and drinks will be available. All proceeds will benefit the Indian Valley Fire Department. Come on down to see some cool cars and support your local Fire Department!!

Black Hawk Solar Cook-Off – July 8-9, 2011

Location: Taylorsville Campground right outside Taylorsville, CA

This year will be the 21st Anniversary of the Solar Cook-Off! With live music, many crafts and food booths, and solar oven displays, this local event has become very popular among foodies and festival goers. The cook-off starts Friday night with live music and more than a dozen bands are scheduled to play during the event. Taylorsville Campground is a great place to stay too with close access to the river and indoor showers and restrooms, camping is only $14 a night! Come check out this awesome event this weekend and see how wonderful a place Indian Valley is!

Independence Day Weekend July 1, 2011 – July 4, 2011

Plumas County offers many ways to celebrate for the 4th of July weekend. Music festivals, rodeos, parades, and Civil War Reenactments are all part of the fun that happens county-wide. Taylorsville, located in the heart of Plumas County, is host to the Silver Buckle Rodeo and other Independence Day activities including the annual Cowboy Breakfast and Parade that will take place on Monday, July 4th this year. In Eastern Plumas County we have the High Sierra Music Festival and Civil War Reenactments. In the Lake Almanor Basin area there is the Blues Festival and 5K Chester Classic Run. 4th of July Parades and evening fireworks can be found in each area!

High Sierra Music Festival

To kick off the summer the High Sierra Music Festival is June 30th to July 3rd this year. This well-known, popular festival has grown since its first years in Plumas County and now offers all sorts of food, booths, music, and more – there’s something for everyone! Located at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds, this festival is great fun and entertainment.
